Clicks BabyClub Event

Yesterday I was collected from my home and taken to a beautiful venue in Cape Town for the Clicks BabyClub Event. If you read my post about the Clicks BabyClub Event that I attended last year, you will know that Clicks knows how to host the media and make us feel welcome! Our MC was the new and proud dad Katlego Maboe from the Expresso Show. We were treated to some very tastey treats too.

It was a well thought out event and it actually felt like a “moms night out”, but in the day time, haha! And for the moms who brought along their bundles of joy, there was a nifty nappy changing station equipped with everything you need to change your baby. At the Clicks BabyClub Event, I learned about some of the new brands and products that will be hitting the Clicks shelves very soon. I’ll be sharing some of these in this article.

Clicks BabyClub can help you save!

Research suggests that the cost of raising a child in South Africa is estimated at around R2 million for the first 23 years. That R90 000 a year or R7 200 per month per child for a middle-income family! That is pretty insane!

Something interesting that I learned at the Clicks BabyClub Event yesterday, is that Clicks BabyClub has a higher percentage saving in cashback compared to pther retail baby reward programs. Clicks ClubCard members earn double points on selected baby products and clinic services everyday which equates to 4% cashback. This can then be used for purchase in-store. There are also additional 10% savings during promo periods and great 2 for 3 deals.

Says Clicks ClubCard Executive Heloise Janse van Rensburg:

Whatever your child’s life stage, a loyalty programme can really help when times are tough so that you can concentrate on enjoying your family and saving for the big stuff

Why you should be joining the Clicks BabyClub and how to join

Clicks BabyClub launched in 2011 and offers extra rewards for ClubCard members who are pregnant or have children up to the age of 36 months. Benefits include double points on selected baby products and clinic services (excluded legistlated products), instant rewards and offers, a vaccination SMS reminder service, expert advice with live Q&A chats on Clicks BabyClub facebook page:

BabyClubByClicks and online advice at www.paediq.com . BabyClub members use their existing ClubCard to earn BabyClub benefits. Members opt in on the Clicks websiteย , 0860 254 257 or at any Clicks store.

My favorite picks from the Clicks BabyClub Event

The Clicks baby clothing summer range

The new range is so pretty! Some of the designs were inspired by everything nautical while others were inspired by some of the popular summer fruit like watermelons. The colors are bold and pretty. Perfect for your little baby or toddler to keep cool and look cool too!

Kiddylicious snacks

I’ve heard so many good things about these snacks. Apparently even the adults are hooked. I planned to taste one before I left the event yesterday but I didn’t get to it. So unfortunately I cannot confirm that they are tastey. I can however confirm that I’ve heard from many many moms that they are DELICIOUS!

The new Clicks baby bag range

There were two ranges that I saw. The first one is the denim range. It included a nappy bag, an over the shoulder bag and a backpack. They combined with pretty grey and white stripes with denim bottoms. My favorite out of the two ranges is the tan color range. It’s stylish and will compliment your outfit whether you’re dressed up or down. I love that Clicks has come up with variety of styled baby bags to suitย various lifestyles.

Childs Farm range for sensitive skin

This is also new to the Clicks shelves. It’s a wide variety of products which are all suitable for sensitive skin. From baby shampoo and conditioner, to nappy cream and baby wash. It’s a range of everything you need to care for baby from top to bottom.

Oh So Heavenly Fragranced Skin Freshener

I believe this has always been on the shelves at Clicks however I discovered it for the first time at the Clicks BabyClub Event. I sprayed a little on my hand just to get an idea of the smell. It sprays out quite gently onto the skin and has a fresh smell. I think this is perfect for the last-minute or unexpected errant that you need to run with the kids. Especially when you haven’t had a chance to bath them.

HappyTOT Super Foods

This range contains organic veggies. Something any parent always love to have in our kids snacks. I haven’t tried this range either, but if it looks like a dino and tastes good, then its a definite yes in my books.

So now that you know what my favorites were, what do you look forward to trying out? If you read my article, ‘We’re not having any more kids and I want the world to know‘, you’ll know that I won’t be having any more babies. We received a lovely baby bag upon leaving which contains many useful products for new and expecting moms. I’d love to pay it forward to a new and deserving momma.
