When I hear the words ‘food pouch’, I automatically think of the disposable food pouches for babies that one can buy at the supermarket. And baby/toddler also springs to mind. The Sinchies reusable food pouches however, are reusable pouches and they are not only for babies, they can be used by the whole family. “The whole family?” you ask. Yip, mom, dad, your threenager, your teenager, and of course, your little bundle who is approaching the terrible two’s. This week, I quickly learned how reusable food pouches can help the whole family.
Sinchies Reusable food pouches recently sent us a some pouches to try and see. To be honest, they couldn’t have come at a better time. You see, I’m a full time working mom of two beautiful yet very busy sons. One aged 9 and the other is almost 2. I’m constantly looking for ways to save time and make my life easier. And I thrive on order. I believe that everything should have it’s own place too. The Sinchies reusable pouches have helped me accomplish this in a few small, yet significant ways.

How reusable food pouches helped my family
I made use of mine in three interesting ways this week so far. Firstly, when you’re a mom of a baby/toddler, you tend to be late for almost everything. Leaving the house can be such a nightmare. And this is simply because something always goes wrong on the last minute. No matter how thoughtfully and strategically I plan to be early, I almost never make it on time. There is always that last minute poo nappy to be changed. Or the messy pants to be changed. The worst of them is that random last minute hunger call 30 seconds before you need to leave the house. This is Coles all time favorite mind game to play with us.
Despite me feeding him before getting dressed to leave, it can sometimes take longer and he ends up hungry again. So I filled a pouch with yogurt before leaving home to fetch Liam from school and this way, I could grab it on my way out, and Cole could feed himself in his car seat. #ProblemSolved!
Waking up in the mornings has been a nightmare lately. I mean who wants to wake up and leave their nice warm bed in utter darkness? Plus, everyone else is still fast asleep. So I have been sleeping in just a little here and there which inevitably leads to even more rushing in the morning. Sinchies came to the rescue though! I filled two pouches with cereal for myself and Liam, and we ate it on the way. No mess, no fuss. #ProblemSolved!
You know, to this day, I can never work out how much brown gravy or white sauce to make. I always end up making too much or too little. Mostly too much. And then there isn’t enough of the other food the next day and I end up throwing it away. This week, I made too much brown gravy as usual, so I threw the left overs into a Sinchies reusable food pouch and into the freezer.
